Testimonials

Below are several testimonials based on my previous work experience or collaborations with others

Joelle is a pleasure to work with. She is always professional in her interactions with me and the members of the OHT and Hospital Strategic Planning teams. She shows up to meetings on time, prepared and engaged. Her work is completed well before the timeline requested. Other members of our OHT who interacted with Joelle commented on her professional demeanor and contributions to our OHT.

Frank Vassallo

Chief Executive Officer, Kemptville District Hospital

Joelle accepts feedback graciously and applies the feedback received in her subsequent work. She is very quick to respond to requests for assistance and never complains about the work assigned no matter how menial. She is a keen learner and a team player. This is an asset on any team. She took much of the direction of the task group and turned it into the final product that was outstanding. I would be happy to work with her again on any project.

Lynn Fuller

Director, Integrated Care at Queensway Carleton Hospital

Joelle has maintained a high standard throughout both full-time degree programs while simultaneously working part-time in research and juggling serving jobs on the side. She is driven to take on academic projects and initiatives that have broader health impacts. She has taken it upon herself to use content learned during the undergraduate and master’s degree programs to develop and implement QI projects and led the Canadian Coalition for Global Health Research at Brock. Through the Med Plus cocurricular program, she networked with diverse healthcare professionals, learned about the Canadian healthcare system and sharpened her interpersonal communication skills. This unique learning opportunity highlights Joelle’s determination to combine her passion for health management and academic research.

Dr. Asif Khowaja

Assistant Professor, Brock University

Joelle exudes many qualities that have made her a great fit for our program as a facilitator. She has a natural leadership ability that allows her to facilitate the program in a positive direction, but also sound teamwork skills that provides her with the ability to work with various co-mentors – again, of varying likenesses and dispositions themselves. In working with a vulnerable population (adolescent females), Joelle was always creative in how she engaged the students in activities and discussions, was compassionate in how she responded to their questions and concerns, and always motivated them to not only strive to be their best self, but to both recognize, and utilize their strengths. Having someone as reliable and dedicated to the program and mission, as Joelle, made her an asset to the program and Agency. Joelle’s willingness and effectiveness at appropriately applying strategies she has learned throughout her education, internships, work experiences, and volunteer experiences proved she was committed to serving the population she was working with, to the best of her ability. Her compassion and honesty made her an effective resource for students questioning many personal experiences and struggles. Again, Joelle was very much an asset to the program and Agency and has set a high standard for volunteers within Agency programming.

Ashley Dunseith Sinclair

Manager of Programs and Services, Big Brothers Big Sisters

I so greatly appreciate Joelle’s support in helping us move the OHT steering committee and full application forward over these past several months. She was always quick to jump in, do the required research and create the documentation we needed to move efficiently and effectively. Joelle’s efforts were incredibly helpful, strategic and productive for all of us.
